Dell 5310n – The More Than Capable Small Office Printer
A really good feature with the Dell 5310n printer is that the first print is delivered at a fast speed with the “push” of a single button from your computer. The speed of this laser printer is very fast, with 50 pages whipping out in no time flat. Yes, that’s 50 pages per minute. Anyone looking for a high volume production laser printer should opt for the Dell 5310n laser printer. The 5310n comes in Dell’s trademark black and silver-gray shell. It is small enough that you can place it most anywhere and light enough at just about 50 pounds to move when needed. This means you could easily unpack and deploy the printer yourself. There are deep, sturdy handgrips near the base too for that added convenience.
You even have the efficient OpenManage Printer Manager Reports for your printer, giving you alerts about paper jams and periodic predictions of how soon a toner cartridge will run dry, for example.
The 5310n follows a real basic front loader design. A door in the belly drops down and then extends into a reasonably sturdy auxiliary feed. The paper tray that’s built on the printer allows you to fold it up when you want to quit using it. The tray also has a paper feed that helps you utilize different styles of paper.
Helping to break up any sticky papers, the inside of the Dell 5310n main tray has ingenious sloping edges. It is noted, however, that the function of this printer does not include a rear exit or a straight-feed paper path. This should not be something that affects your use.
Print quality is exceptional with the high quality Dell 5310n toner cartridge. Not only does this model spit out pages at the rate of 50 per minute, each one is in 1200 x 1200 dpi, ensuring a sharpness not often seen in comparable printers. There should never be any complaints regarding your final presentation when you use this exceptional printer.
The Dell 5310n laser printer includes a 10,000-page “starter” unit. The replacements come in 20,000-page and 30,000-page models. The 5310n’s fuser is specified to last 300,000 pages. That would be about six years and may even be longer then you own the printer.
In case you are including the fuser price, the operating costs work out to about 1.02 cents a page, which is still reasonable. Dell is also one of the few companies in the printer market who price extra memory to sell.
